Earl’s Court – The Clone Years
Start in LGBT History UK →Earl’s Court was London’s first truly visible gay neighbourhood – Europe’s most celebrated leather bar, the city’s first public gay nightclub, a gay hotel, gym and gallery, and then, almost all at once, their disappearance. This walk is partly about the joy of the Clone era and partly about what was lost. It ends at the wall of Garden Lodge, where Freddie Mercury lived until the day he died.
